The Palladio Autumn/Winter 2011-12 press day at The Music Room unearthed some hidden gem womenswear brands that you’ll be dying to add to your wardrobe next season.
nocturne caught my eye immediately with a collection of day and evening dresses with painterly prints, jacquard textures and fine knits.
Launched in 2004 by French designer, Claudine Bertinotti-Lenoble, nocturne is all about feminine statement pieces with interesting design details that add accents to your wardrobe.
I fell in love with this adorable short sleeve lace and knife-pleat dress in a stunning, deep ‘Valentino red’.
nocturne jewellery is beautifully crafted and affordable with a price point of up to around £120. The beige leather and jewel disc hair band can also be worn as a necklace or a modern bridal headpiece.
Another collection on my Autumn/Winter radar is by Spanish designer, Sita Murt.
The brand for gamine European city girls, Sita Murt creates wardrobe staples with a difference, focusing on sumptuous fabrics, sharp tailoring and cool silhouettes.
Look how the narrow shoulders on the two-tone jacket references the skinny Biba look of the 60s…
Hartford captures the essence of relaxed Parisian style and has the philosophy of wearing everything one size larger to achieve this look. Editor-in-chief of French Vogue, Emmanuelle Alt has been spotted out and about in Hartford’s chic navy blazer with gold buttons.
There are luxurious wardrobe staples such as the cashmere striped jumper, butter soft leather jacket and tailored camel coat, but Hartland also has a flirty side with tiny leather skirts and sheer neon blouses.
LA brand Aryn K approaches the colder season with slouchy, draped pieces in luxurious silk, velvet and super fine lace. The midnight blue cropped vest with pyramid stud pocket is an absolute must for Autumn/Winter, as it will go with literally anything on the dark side.
