Deep-fried lasagne may sound crazy, but @officina00 on Old Street does it so well. 🍝🇮🇹💯

For lunch, we ordered the most amazing fresh pasta and bites:

🔹️Panko lasagne with truffle, aged Provolone and aioli

🔹️Croquette with nduja, ricotta salata and honey.

🔹️Curly pappardelle with beef short rib ragu, meatballs, ricotta and basil.

🔹️Spaghetti with white miso Carbonara, crispy guanciale and Pecorino Romano.

Chef @nancysilverton put Californian sourdough piz

Chef @nancysilverton put Californian sourdough pizza on the food map, so I couldn't wait to try one of her famous pies at the UK outpost of @pizzeriamozzalondon.

We started with some delicious small plates of golden fried potatoes with crispy ceci, sage, rosemary and a punchy garlic aioli and sizzling, rich meatballs al forno with toast and herb butter.

One pizza was enough to share for lunch and we went for the Meatlovers with salame, fennel sausage, guanciale, tomato and fior di latte. The dough was light and bubbly and made extra decadent with the juicy tomato sauce, silky mozz and top quality Italian Cured meats.

Everything was tasty with bold flavours, so we couldn't find room for dessert but will definitely return for the gelato pie. It's a great spot in central for when you want something casual but interesting. Lovely, warm interiors and good service too. 🍕😍💯

Found a little corner of Paris in Copenhagen @cocohotel.dk, a sustainable boutique hotel by @cofocodk. It has a gorgeous, leafy courtyard, cool interiors and a cosy cafe-bar with a free wine hour every night. The organic Danish breakfast is rather delicious too. One to check out for a weekend break - review on the blog 🥐🍷🇫🇷

The highlight of our Copenhagen trip was dinner @restaurant_theo, the cosy, modern sibling of Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant @norrlyst. We ordered the seven serving tasting menu and every course was unbelievable! Our dishes included...

✔️ Tartare of Beef from Himmerland with pickled mushrooms, romesco, mushroom dust and toasted yeast.

✔️ Stracciatella from La Treccia with 10 year plum balsamic and endive.

✔️ Salted cod with yuzu kosho, kohlrabi, coriander and white currants.

✔️ Bread with Oland wheat from Kornby Mill with garlic and thyme.

✔️ Grilled langoustine on juniper with carrots, ginger and hazelnuts.

✔️ Haddock fried on bread with winter spinach, blue mussels and chive sauce.

✔️ Grilled ribeye with beetroot, hot spices and pepper sauce.

✔️ Pear with salted caramel foam and ice cream with dark chocolate and hazelnuts.

If you're going to Copenhagen, don't miss Theo, it's an absolute gem.
