3 Summer Looks: New Look Inspire

August 1, 2011 by

New Look has nailed it this summer with a great collection of plus size clothes from the Inspire range, for sizes 18-26.

Plus size ranges can be tough for the high street to get right, as the clothes should be just as desirable as those from the mainline collections, but with some consideration of how to make women’s curves look fab!

Here are three looks from New Look Inspire that fit the bill for your summer wardrobe…

Festival

Festival wear requires striking a balance between practical and cool – no need for fleeces and old hiking boots!  Straight leg jeans with a bit of stretch are comfy and go with sandals, boots or wellies, depending on the weather.

This Aztec-inspired tunic dress is light and perfect for the sun, plus the longer length means that it won’t ride up when you’re lounging around on grass waiting for the bands!

A mac is essential for festivals and this gunmetal grey mac is sleek and stylish and you can tighten the waist for a snug fit.

Beach

Swimwear can be a nightmare decision before holidays and why do we torture ourselves with the panic of wearing a bikini when there are so many stylish swimsuits?

Go for a girly retro polka dot print swimsuit  – you can wear it as a halterneck or remove the straps and go bandeau to avoid tan lines.  If high octane pool glamour is more your style, then this leopard print swimsuit is ideal, and at just £9, what’s to stop you picking both?

Day to Night

A printed maxi dress is a summer wardrobe staple, as they feel floaty and breezy, they can be dressed up or down and they avoid the leggings or tights dilema if you’re not comfortable with bare legs.

Wear this figure-skimming paisley print maxi dress with a slouchy boyfriend cardie for a casual day look, or add some gold jewellery, a sequin hairband or jewelled flat sandals for the evening.
