Vaseline Restore Intensive Competition

SPONSORED POST

The crisp winter air is perfect for a healthy, flushed glow and rosy cheeks, but the cold weather and central heating can play havoc with our skin.

During the colder months, dry skin needs a more hydrating moisturiser than usual, so Vaseline is extending its range of products designed to provide instant relief and long-lasting care for very dry skin, with the launch of Vaseline Intensive Rescue Moisture Locking Cream.

The cream is quickly absorbed and includes glycerin to instantly increase the moisture levels in skin and occlusives to form a protective barrier sealing in moisture.

Vaseline Intensive Rescue Moisture Locking Cream is clinically proven to provide twice as much moisture as E45 cream.

Vaseline body care products have actually been a staple of my moisturising regime for many years now, as they’re effective and affordable and they have a solution for every skin requirement.  The Cocoa Butter body butter has seen me through the winters, but the Intensive Rescue Moisture Locking Cream looks set to be a new favourite…

Vaseline Skincare Expert Atoshi Ghosal offers advice on how to maintain healthy skin during the winter and beyond…

– Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your skin well hydrated.  Eat a high-quality diet rich in fruits, vegetables, oily fish, nuts, seeds and limit sun exposure.

– Washing can make your skin more dry.  Wash your face no more than twice a day with a gentle cleanser and take short baths or showers.

– Pat your skin dry after washing.  Avoid rubbing yourself dry with a towel, which can whisk away the skin’s natural moisture barrier needed to keep your skin healthy during the cold winter months

– Apply a good moisturiser while your skin is still damp.  Choose one that contains ingredients that attract moisture to skin (humectants) and lock it in (occlusives).

– Aim for a comfortable level of humidity in your home or office.  Too much heat or air-conditioning can rob your skin of moisture.

– Keep a hand cream like Vaseline Intensive Rescue Soothing Hand Cream, RRP, £2.99 in your handbag to use on the go.

In the winter, I get really dry hands so I use an extra rich cream on my hands and feet, put on pair of socks on over night and have soft skin in the morning.

When my skin is a bit dry, I have a bath and apply body oil straight after to hydrate my skin.
I haven’t tried this range yet but I love the aloe vera lotion in the summer. x

Plenty of water to make up for the central heating. Also a good body oil keeps skin soft.
