Tried, Tested and Loved: eyeSlices

April 26, 2010 by

eyeSlices have been on my beauty wish list for a while now, so when I got the chance to try them out at an event a few weeks ago, I was delighted at the prospect of bright, sparkling eyes.

With an absolute aversion to cucumber, I tend to stay away from products that look green and juicy or have a resemblance to said vegetable, so I was relieved to find that eyeSlices are 100% cucumber free.

Developed in South Africa, eyeSlices gel treatment pads feel instantly cooling and soothing and revitalise eyes in less than five minutes, so they’re great for a quick energy boost.

eyeSlices are formulated with a potent blend of botanics and boast a patented Cryogel technology, apparently a world first.  Ingredients include aloe ferox, regu age, biodynes, pentavitin and peptamide 6.

They stimulate circulation and help combats puffiness, tiredness and dark circles and when used regularly they could potentially help diminish the appearance of wrinkles and signs of ageing.  They also work wonders for relieving hayfever-induced itchy eyes and minor headaches.

There’s no need to keep the gel pads in the fridge, but a few minutes of cooling before using them feel even more indulgent.  eyeSlices come in a clam carry case and are priced at £14.99 for 10 uses, a whole lot cheaper than the Bliss Triple Oxygen eye masks.

The only thing is, if you use them before going out, you’ll have to wash your eyes before applying make-up, as I found the gel leaves a slight film that can get sticky when mixed with cosmetics.

eyeSlices are current available to buy online at The Pro Make-up Shop.
